October Meeting : Cairngorm 101

September 07 2008 by Nick Kwiatkowski

By popular demand, our September Meeting will be on the Cairngorm framework.  Cairngorm is a very popular Flex framework that helps you model your application as MVC (Model, View, Controller).  We will be having a very special guest do the presentation.

We will be recording this presentation and making it available for participants of the Michigan FlexCamp.  Please email me if you would like to participate in the live presentation.

Our meeting will be held in room 161 of the Communication Arts and Sciences building on the Campus of Michigan State University on October 9th.  Click on the Directions tab above to get more detailed directions.  Our meeting will be starting promptly at 7pm, to accommodate the speaker's time restraints.

September Meeting : Mate Framework

September 06 2008 by Nick Kwiatkowski

Thursday, the 11th of September we will be holding our monthly Michigan Flex User's Group meeting.  This month we will be talking about the new Mate Framework, and will be hosting a presentation from Laura Arguello.  This is an intermediate presentation dealing with one of the newest frameworks on the scene.  Mate had its debut at 360|Flex, and has a goal to seperate the framework from your actual application code.  When we are finished, we will also be doing a mini-presentation on Accessability within Flex and Flash applications.

Our meeting, like usual will be held on the Campus of Michigan State University, in the Communication Arts and Sciences Building, in room 161.  I would like to start this meeting at 7pm.  An interactive map to get to our meeting location is available on the tabs above.
